The Popemobile Goes Electric For The First Time In 94 Years
The popemobile has gone electric. After supplying the cars to the Vatican for 94 years, Mercedes-Benz has handed over, for the first time, an all-electric popemobile to Pope Francis.

The Mercedes-Benz G-Class Goes All-Electric
Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the first all-electric G-Class. Available in the G 580 trim, the official model designation is quite a mouthful: Mercedes-Benz G 580 with EQ Technology (we’d be calling it the G 580 EQ from this point on).

Mercedes-Benz G-Class Ready To Go All-Electric With EQG Concept
With the Concept EQG, Mercedes-Benz presents the near-production study of an all-electric model variant of its off-road icon. Visually, it combines both the striking looks of the G-Class with new elements from Mercedes-Benz’s EQ all-electric family (the contrasting highlights to name one). In addition, it will have the typical 4x4 qualities of the G, but will electrified and further development in some areas.

German World-Traveler Completes PHL Tour in Mercedes-Benz G-Class
Globetrotting in his 1988 Mercedes-Benz G-Class for the past 22 years, Gunther Holtorf finally arrives in Philippine shores—the 199th on his continuously growing list of countries in his round-the-world journey.
Gunther’s ever-reliable G-Class named “Otto”, his companion since he began the world tour, has already clocked in 800,000 kilometers—approximately 20 times the length of the equator. Gunther and Otto have shared many memorable journeys; especially that he eats, sleeps, cooks, showers, and practically does everything in his car.
